His foster parents have asked you to talk to him about his plans once he gets off probation and graduates from high school. Most of his friends have dropped out of school. Since he turned 12 years old, he has been in and out of juvenile court, detained at the juvenile detention center, been on probation, and sentenced to community service multiple times. His mother was deemed to be an unfit parent, so he was put into foster care at the age of 9. They divorced when he was 6, and he never saw his father again. His parents thought it was cute and did nothing to discourage Ryan's stealing. He began his criminal career at the young age of 3, when he started stealing toys from his daycare center.
Ryan Merrick should graduate this spring from high school if he doesn't fail any more classes, or get arrested for committing any more crimes, or violate probation.
